Adopting a Healy Pack German Shepherd Dog

Healy Pack believes that every dog deserves love, dignity, and a second chance. Every dog who comes to Healy Pack Sanctuary arrives with a story and often with special medical or emotional needs. These wonderful souls need loving foster families; when they're recovered and ready, they hope to be adopted by a fur-ever family. Most of our adoptable dogs are older German shepherds; some rescues are younger dogs or puppies.

Make adoption your first option! It’s a simple yet powerful way to fight the national pet overpopulation crisis. If every family adopted just one dog, shelters across the country would rarely have to turn another away. Below are photos and biographies of the dogs currently seeking loving homes where they will be cherished and respected.

Healy Pack GSDs Available to Adopt!

Nola Grace is 12 years old and a known escape artist, although apparently she would scale the fence and come to the front door to be let back into the house. While she can be other-dog selective, she has lived with other dogs since coming to Healy Pack. Nola Grace loves people and just wants to be by your side. Due to her age, Nola Grace is available to be either fostered or adopted.Click image to enlarge…

This handsome youngster is still waiting for his own person. Mufasa is under 4 years old, active, and very playful. He loves water—sprinklers, kiddie pools, and even rain. Once he trusts you, he is sweet and loving. Mufasa has had some training, but he really needs a GSD-savvy home where he will have someone who will continue to work with him, due to his tendency toward over-protectiveness. He will reward you with an abundance of love!Click image to enlarge…

Beautiful Stella has been in our care for a short period of time. The shelter listed her as 10, but we believe she may be several years younger. Stella has spent time with her foster family learning to be part of a family, something she likely never had before, and is ready for a "fur-ever" home. Stella is very people-friendly and is currently living with two small dogs.Click image to enlarge…

Welcome Ziva to Healy Pack! She was rescued from a shelter that listed her age as 10, but we think she is younger. She is living with other dogs and cats. We are still getting to know her personality, but she is definitely people-friendly!Click image to enlarge…
