We can only continue our mission of saving senior German shepherds from kill shelters with your help.
Every one of our dogs gets a full medical evaluation, personalized veterinary care, quality food, comfortable shelter, and individual attention. Healy Pack volunteers find dogs and coordinate rescue and transport, but we rely entirely on your generosity to meet their ongoing needs.
Once in our care, rescued dogs need quality food, comprehensive veterinary care, foster families to help them transition, and adoption by generous families willing to welcome a wonderful animal into their homes.
We are saving one senior at a time…until every shepherd knows they are loved. How will you get involved?

Healy Pack founder Linda Healy believed "every dog bought from a breeder or pet store means another shelter dog loses their chance. A dog is put down every nine seconds in the United States. We can change that—one adoption at a time."
Healy Pack currently has seven rescued German shepherds available to adopt. They are looking for families who will treat them with dignity, comfort, and love. Go to our Adopt a Dog page to see Nola Grace, Penny, Stella, Mufasa, Blue Lou, Oakley, and Linda Miley!

Every senior dog who comes to Healy Pack Sanctuary arrives with a story and often with special medical or emotional needs. Some, due to age or health conditions, are unable to fully recover and remain at the Sanctuary, where they receive lifelong care, love, and comfort.
By sponsoring a senior, you become part of their journey. Your sponsorship helps provide essential medical treatments, nutritious food, supplements, and the daily care that keeps our residents happy and safe. Would you like to help by sponsoring one of our wonderful dogs with a monthly donation?

Becoming a foster is one of the most impactful ways to help save lives. Fosters provide love, stability, and safety to dogs in transition—often those coming directly from difficult shelter situations or neglectful homes. We can't rescue dogs if we have nowhere to place them!
Fostering is a true commitment of heart and time, but it's also one of the most rewarding experiences imaginable. Our founder, Linda Healy, often said, "There's always a dog I wish I had room for." If you have the space, the love, and the willingness to help, consider opening your home to a senior in need.

We rely entirely on your generosity to meet the daily needs of our dogs and cover their medical expenses. Monetary donations are always needed to support ongoing veterinary care, medications, and special diets. Every penny makes a difference: Every single contribution, whether large or small, directly improves the lives of the senior German shepherds who depend on us.

Our senior dogs usually come to Healy Pack Sanctuary with health issues. They receive expert veterinary evaluation and care. Those not well enough to adopt live comfortably at the Sanctuary under continuing veterinary care. If our mission touched your heart, please share it! Follow Healy Pack on Facebook, and follow and support other rescue organizations in your area as well. Share our message with family and friends and via social media. When you share a post, you help a senior dog get seen, adopted, or supported: a single share can change a life!
If you post about us on social media, please include a link to www.healypack.org. If you have a Web site, please feel free to link to us. Your links increase the visibility of our site and thus the number of potential adopters, fosters, sponsors, and donors.
You can also encourage friends, family, and neighbors to adopt instead of purchasing a dog. Every adoption saves two lives: the one you take home and the one who takes their place in the shelter.
Together, we can keep Linda’s mission alive, spreading compassion, awareness, and love for every German shepherd still waiting to be rescued.

Being a responsible pet owner is one of the greatest gifts you can give an animal—and one of the best ways to honor Healy Pack's mission.
Think carefully before adopting, and choose a pet that fits your lifestyle and circumstances. Plan ahead for your pet's future. And of course, love your pet deeply. For more ideas you can use and share Read more on our Responsible Ownership page…
